Gate Militia ("the Game") is a free-to-play mobile game. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the Game collects and how it is used.
Gate Militia does not require you to create a visible account. The Game creates a silent Firebase anonymous identity for leaderboard and support features. If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the Game automatically signs you into Google Play Games Services for achievements, leaderboard, cloud save, and verified cross-device identity. The Game does not collect your email address, password, or real name. The Game also uses third-party services (Google AdMob for advertising; Unity Ads and Liftoff Monetize as mediated ad networks; Meta App Events as a separate integration for eligible advertising attribution and campaign measurement; Google Play Games Services; and Firebase services) that may collect certain device and usage data as described below. Gate Militia uses its own secured server at gatemilitia.optygate.com to verify these identities and handle ranking and support requests.
The Game uses your device's local storage to save your progress, including:
Most game progress is stored on your device and, when Play Games is active, in your private cloud save. The Support ID and bounded technical support records may also be sent to Firebase as described below. Reset Progress clears game progression but retains the minimum local support identity and delivery history needed to prevent a previously delivered reward from being granted twice. Clearing Android app data removes all local records. Server records can be deleted by contacting support.
The Game integrates with Google Play Games Services to provide achievements, leaderboard, and cloud save. If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, sign-in to the Game happens automatically and silently. You can also sign in manually from the Settings panel.
When signed in, the following data is used:
The Game does not access your email, real name, contacts, or any other Google account information. Only the Play Games identity described above is used. This data is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, the Game saves your game progress to Google's cloud using the Google Play Games Saved Games (Snapshots) API. The following data is stored in your private Google Drive application folder (accessible only to Gate Militia):
Cloud save data is tied to your Google account and is used only to restore your progress when you reinstall the Game or play on a different device. It is not shared with other players or used for any other purpose. In-app purchase verification tokens are NOT included in Cloud Save -- these remain on your device only, and Google Play independently re-surfaces any unfulfilled purchases on a new device. You can delete this data at any time via the in-game "Reset Progress" option, which also clears the cloud save.
The Game offers optional in-app purchases processed by Google Play Billing. Available products include consumable packs of premium currency (Valor) and bonus coins, and a non-consumable "Remove Ads" pack that permanently disables banner and interstitial ads on your account and grants a one-time bundle of Valor and coins. The Game itself never sees or stores your payment card details, billing address, or other personal financial information -- all payment processing is handled by Google.
When you make an in-app purchase, the following data is involved:
valor_m, coins_l, remove_ads) -- which pack you purchasedThis information is logged anonymously to Firebase Analytics as in-app purchase events to help us understand purchase patterns and improve the Game. No personal billing information (name, address, card number, or other financial identifiers) is sent to Firebase or to us.
All in-app purchases are tied to your Google account and are non-transferable to other accounts. Items obtained through in-app purchases (Valor balance, owned cosmetic skins) are saved to your Cloud Save (see Cloud Save section above) so they follow you across devices when signed in to Google Play Games. The "Remove Ads" entitlement itself is not stored in Cloud Save -- it is restored on any device by Google Play directly (your purchase library is tied to your Google account), and can also be re-applied via the in-game "Restore Purchases" option in Settings. A small dedup flag (which records that the one-time Valor and coin bonus from the Remove Ads pack has already been granted) is included in Cloud Save to prevent the bonus from being granted more than once across devices.
Refunds are processed by Google Play through their standard refund process. Please see Google Play's refund policy for details. The Game does not offer purchases in the form of randomized rewards (loot boxes / gacha) -- every in-app purchase shows the exact items you will receive before you confirm.
In addition to the Google Play Games leaderboard, the Game uses Firebase Authentication, Firebase App Check, and Firebase Firestore (Google), together with the secured Gate Militia server at gatemilitia.optygate.com, for its ranking and support features. The following data is sent through the Gate Militia server and stored on Firebase servers:
No email address, password, or real name is required. Firebase Authentication creates a silent anonymous account -- you will not see a login screen and no credentials are stored on your device.
Your display name and score are visible to other players worldwide. Internal identifiers, support records, and diagnostics are not visible to other players. They are used to link your devices, protect server operations, deliver approved support messages or rewards, prevent duplicates, recover interrupted game-over settlement, and investigate technical issues.
Gate Militia creates encrypted first-party restore bundles for identity links, player profiles, Support ID mappings, leaderboard scores, support dispatches, immutable delivery receipts, reset request records, and support audit records. Diagnostics and credentials are excluded. Up to seven daily encrypted copies are retained on the Gate Militia server and up to eight weekly encrypted copies are retained in a separate restricted backup archive. The decryption key is held separately in the owner's secure credential store. These copies are used only for disaster recovery and staging restore drills.
To request deletion of your Firebase support records, diagnostics, or leaderboard data, contact us at dev@optygate.com. The in-game Reset Progress option deletes your leaderboard score but does not erase the minimum support-delivery history required to prevent duplicate rewards.
Deletion requests are applied to active Firebase records. Encrypted backup copies are not edited in place and expire through the seven-daily and eight-weekly retention schedule. If a recovery temporarily restores an older copy, approved deletion requests must be re-applied before recovered production data is made available.
The Game may send local notifications to remind you about daily rewards, challenges, and other in-game events. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any server, push notification service, or data transmission. No personal data is collected or shared through notifications.
You can disable notifications at any time through your device's notification settings for Gate Militia.
The Game displays banner ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded ads through Google AdMob, Google's mobile advertising platform. AdMob manages mediation and may select ads supplied by Google or by participating bidding networks, including Unity Ads and Liftoff Monetize (Vungle). Meta App Events is a separate campaign-measurement integration described below and does not serve ads. Players who purchase the optional Remove Ads pack will not see banner or interstitial ads; rewarded ads remain available as an opt-in for in-game bonuses. Depending on which provider serves an ad, its demand partners may collect or receive:
Advertising providers use this data to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated ads, detect fraud and security issues, produce reporting, and provide contextual or personalized advertising where permitted by your choices and applicable law. Gate Militia receives advertising performance reports and events such as whether an ad was completed, but does not receive your payment details, contacts, precise location, or the contents of your Google account through ad serving.
If you are in a region covered by GDPR (European Economic Area, UK, or Switzerland), the Game presents an in-app consent form via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) on first launch. Your choice determines whether the ads you see are personalized (based on your activity) or non-personalized (generic). You can re-open this choice at any time from the in-game Settings panel under "Privacy options".
If you are in a US state with applicable privacy rights, the Game presents a privacy message through UMP when required by applicable law. You can use the in-game "Privacy options" entry, your Android advertising controls, and the provider privacy and opt-out links in the Advertising section to manage the choices available to you.
You can also change your ad preferences at any time on Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads > "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization". Opting out does not reduce the number of ads shown; it means the ads will be less relevant to you.
The Game uses Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand how the game is played and improve the experience. Firebase Analytics may collect:
This data is pseudonymous. It does not include your email, phone number, password, payment details, or real name, but it includes internal user and installation identifiers. The advertising choices described above control advertising personalization and do not by themselves disable first-party Firebase Analytics. You can contact us to request deletion of Firebase data associated with your Support ID.
For more information, see Firebase Privacy Information.
The Game uses the Meta Android SDK for app-install attribution and campaign measurement only when Google's User Messaging Platform reports that consent is not required. Meta App Events remains off when the status is required, obtained, unknown, unavailable, or affected by an error or timeout. This conservative policy means Meta measurement is intentionally unavailable in regulated regions until the Game implements a separate Meta-specific consent and withdrawal flow.
When Meta App Events is eligible, Meta may receive:
The Game uses this information to attribute installs to advertising campaigns, measure campaign performance, analyze aggregate gameplay progression, and detect measurement fraud. The Meta integration does not send your display name, email address, purchase details, ad-revenue events, Firebase identifiers, precise location, free-form text, or raw identifiers supplied by the game JavaScript. Automatic purchase logging, Codeless App Events, and Suggested Events are not used.
Meta processes this information under the Meta Privacy Policy. You can manage your Android Advertising ID in your device settings and use Meta's privacy controls for data associated with Meta services.
The Game uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix bugs. Crashlytics automatically collects:
Crash reports do not contain your email, phone number, password, payment details, or real name. They use pseudonymous support context to identify and fix technical issues affecting the same player or run.
The Game uses the following third-party services. Meta App Events campaign measurement is separate from ad delivery:
The Google services above are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Unity Ads, Liftoff Monetize, and Meta App Events are governed by their respective privacy policies linked above.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or Switzerland, the Game asks for your ad-personalization consent on first launch via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and only serves personalized ads if you opt in. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
Meta App Events remains disabled when UMP reports that consent is required or obtained, or when its status cannot be determined. To exercise rights regarding advertising data, refer to Google's Advertising Privacy & Terms, Unity's privacy policy, Liftoff's Privacy Policy, and the Meta Privacy Policy. For data stored locally on your device, use the in-game "Reset Progress" option.
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know, correct, or delete personal information and to opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising uses as those terms are defined by applicable law. Gate Militia does not directly sell personal information for money. Google, Unity Ads, Liftoff Monetize, eligible Meta App Events, and participating advertising demand partners may process or share device identifiers and advertising data for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and personalized advertising. Certain laws may define some targeted-advertising activity as a sale or sharing of personal information. Use the in-game "Privacy options" entry, your Android advertising controls, and the provider privacy and opt-out links in this policy to exercise applicable choices.
The Game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
You can reset progression or request deletion of data stored by Gate Militia at any time:
If you need further assistance with data deletion, contact us at dev@optygate.com.
Game progress data is stored locally on your device until you clear it. Firebase support diagnostics are limited to 10 recent server snapshots per player and are deleted by a scheduled Gate Militia server cleanup after 30 days. Support delivery receipts may be retained longer to prevent a reward from being delivered twice and to maintain an audit trail. Data collected by Google services (Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics) is retained according to Google's data retention policies. Firebase Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default. Unity Ads, Liftoff Monetize, and Meta App Events retain advertising and measurement data according to their respective privacy policies linked above.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
